Engineering Announces PowerGasket for VW/Audi 1.8T Engines
Insulated intake manifold gasket adds up to 5% horsepower
Chapel Hill, NC - NewSouth Engineering launches
PowerGasket, an insulating gasket that radically reduces the heat
transfer from the cylinder head to the intake manifold. PowerGasket
will fit VW/Audi 1.8T engines found on 1999.5+ VW Golfs, Jettas,
New Beetles, and Passats and Audi A4s and TTs.
It delivers up to 5% more power in 1995.5+ 1.8T
engines by reducing the temperature of the incoming air to gives
you cooler, denser air for more horsepower and performance from
your engine.
Made from a high performance polymer, PowerGasket™
conducts on average less than 1/500th of the heat of the steel
gasket that it replaces. Intake manifolds will stay 30-50°
F cooler and incoming air will stay 20-30° F cooler.
This simple bolt-on has been designed for affordability,
easy installation and no disruption to manifold attachment and
engine accessories.
